The Duties And Responsibilities Shall Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Develop research proposals to secure grants for graduate students and staff development, enhancing existing knowledge;
  • Conduct research and disseminate results through various channels for community and institutional benefit;
  • Publish books and articles for teaching, reference, and further research;
  • Review research and academic journals to support effective teaching and learning, fulfilling the University Mandate;
  • Prepare and revise curricula to meet evolving needs and market demands;
  • Create course descriptions, outlines, and teaching aids for effective delivery;
  • Supervise and mentor scholars and postgraduate students to ensure quality curriculum delivery and research output;
  • Transfer knowledge, including practical skills, for long-term benefit;

  • At least three (3) years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent and research experience;
  • A minimum of sixty (60) equivalent publication points since attaining Associate Professorship or equivalent, of which at least forty (40) should be from refereed scholarly journals;
  • Supervised a minimum of five (5) postgraduate students to completion, including at least two (2) at doctoral level;
  • Registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable);
  • Attracted research or development funds as an Associate Professor or equivalent.
