Why Work With Us

  • A Unique Career Opportunity: Be part of our Africa operations from the ground up. This is a rare chance to shape the future of global health while accelerating your professional development. Become a force of our mission: Healthcare from Africa to Africa.
  • Exceptional Team: Work alongside highly skilled, motivated, and diverse colleagues who share a commitment to excellence. At AMEX, we have an extraordinarily high talent density.
  • Team Spirit & Events: Enjoy a collaborative culture and amazing team-building activities. (Check out our LinkedIn page for a glimpse!)
  • Rewarding Performance: We recognize and reward top performance. Starting salary: KES 100,000 net per month with strong merit-based progression.

Your Responsibilities

  • You are among the first people to join. Hence you take on a variety of tasks, from administrative duties to contributing to high-level strategic initiatives. Flexibility and a willingness to “get your hands dirty” are essential.
  • Use your intellectual curiosity to tackle new and complex challenges, typical of a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Why You Might Not Be the Right fit

  • Initiative Required: If you prefer to only follow instructions, this is not the place for you. We need people who go beyond what is asked for.
  • High-Stakes Work: If you’re looking for a standard 9-to-5 job, you will struggle here. Our mission often involves responding to urgent health emergencies, where we literally save lives.
  • Open Communication: We value direct feedback at all levels, including senior management. If this makes you uncomfortable, AMEX will not be the right environment.

What We Expect From You

  • A proven ability to go the extra mile, see the big picture, and take initiative. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A strong academic record (BA/MA/PHD) and/or other notable achievements (e.g., excellence in sports, arts, or extracurricular activities).
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) – background in pharma/healthcare is a plus.
