  • Make sure that when roses are delivered from the greenhouse they are loaded immediately onto trolleys and kept in the cold store awaiting to be graded.
  • Ensure that each of the varieties are loaded onto different trolleys and ensure proper and orderly arrangement of the trolleys i.e. as per in the cold stores.
  • Ensure that the ungraded flowers are distributed from the cold stores to the graders for grading.
  • Ensure that once the graded flowers are verified and recorded by the supervisors, they are collected
  • immediately and kept them in the cold stores.
  • Always ensure that the graded flowers are placed onto trolleys again according to varieties and length. The arrangement in the cold stores should always be orderly and according to varieties and length.
  • Ensure that packing boxes are prepared as instructed and that the targets given are always met.
  • Ensure that sfks are cut for the graders and ensure that they are cut according to the specified length. The line drawn on the sfks should also be as per specifications given.

  • Ensuring punctual attendance to duties considering time in (7.30 am) and time out (4.30 Pm) and keeping record of overtime used on daily basis.
  • Ensuring that the muster roll is filled everyday clearly indicating absence, presence, and permission or leave days of a worker accordingly. Incase somebody is late recording the time of arrival.
  • Always uphold general discipline of workers and enforcing all the policies of the farm to the workers with no compromise.
  • Induct new workers in your department into the mainstream activities relating to the company’s policies and other farm’s legislations and on the roles of certain players e.g. first aiders, health & safety committee, fire safety.
  • Ensure that a hand on training is done exhaustively including work safety procedures before allocation of duties to the new workers.
  • Ensure that in the event of an accident or injury of a worker in the department, the supervisors in charge make an injury report and submit it to the office within the same day of the accident occurrence and organize for first aid provision to the casualty with the first aiders on duty.
  • Handle the workers grievances and escalate the ones not handled to the office management.
  • Report any situation or condition that may pose as a health hazard to the workers and ensure proper use and maintenance of the personal protective clothing provided.
