Job Summary
The Human Resources Officer at Saint Boss will manage the employment lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and compliance, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities (Tasks)
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
- Advice on policies and procedures
- Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
- Create and implement effective onboarding plans
- Develop training and development programs
- Assist in performance management processes
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
- Maintain employee records (attendance, Equal Employment Opportunity data, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
Qualifications (Education & Work experience)
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources is required.
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resource management, preferably in construction.
- Certificate showing accreditation from the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Skills
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.)
- Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
- Strong ethics and reliability
- IT proficiency: Proficiency in using HR software and other relevant computer applications.
- Attention to detail
- Creativity
Salary Ksh50,000
Note: There is a one-month mandatory probation period
