Occupational Therapist

We are a Christian school in the education sector looking to recruit an additional Occupational Therapist. He/She will be responsible for conducting physical assessments of children, developing and following doctor-prescribed treatment plans, assessing the surrounding classroom environment and developing additional physical rehabilitation programs.

Responsibilities

1. Learner Assessment • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify learners’ physical, emotional, developmental or social challenges. • Evaluate learners’ home and/or work environments to determine potential barriers to independence.
2. Treatment Planning • Develop individualized treatment plans based on learner assessments and goals. • Collaborate with learners, families, caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to set realistic, measurable outcomes.
3. Therapeutic Interventions • Design and implement therapeutic activities to improve learners’ abilities in daily living and working. • Use adaptive tools and techniques to assist learners in maximizing functional independence. • Provide rehabilitative exercises and education on energy conservation and joint protection.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation • Monitor learners’ progress and adapt treatment plans as needed. • Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions, progress notes, and outcomes.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
2. Valid registration and practicing license with the Kenya Occupational Therapists Association (KOTA).
3. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in a school, pediatric or rehabilitation setting.
4. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

We are a Christian school seeking a qualified Marketing Administrator to work closely with the General Manager (GM) in supporting the school’s growth through strategic and multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive admissions and enquiries. Responsibilities

1. Support the execution of the school’s marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with brand and growth objectives.
2. Plan and implement digital and offline marketing campaigns to reach target audiences effectively.
3. Manage and update website and social media content to ensure accuracy and engagement.
4. Ensure all marketing materials comply with brand guidelines and maintain consistency.
5. Coordinate events, promotions and marketing activities for smooth execution.
6. Generate, track and follow up on leads to support the admissions process.
7. Monitor campaign performance and prepare reports to guide decision-making.
8. Liaise with internal teams and external partners to support marketing initiatives.
9. Maintain marketing databases and CRM systems with accurate and updated records.
10. Provide administrative support to ensure efficient day-to-day marketing operations.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration from a recognized institution.
2. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or team coordination role.
3. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

Playgroup and Reception Teacher

We are a Christian school in the education sector seeking a qualified Playgroup and Reception Teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating early childhood learning through play-based and interactive teaching methods, while nurturing the spiritual, emotional and academic development of young learners.

Responsibilities

1. Cater to and enhance the precise needs and learning styles of each learner.
2. Making and following schemes of work prepared as required.
3. Assisting the curriculum coordinator in the particular subject curriculum organization.
4. Preparation of medium and short-term plans in conjunction with the other members of the subject to ensure the curriculum is being followed.
5. Teaching lessons at the times stipulated on the school timetable.
6. Maintaining order and good discipline among learners during class time.
7. Ensuring sound class control and lessons are taking part as they should be by ensuring and monitoring discipline among learners in the subject lesson.
8. Setting and marking of work to be done in school and for homework.
9. Providing a stimulating working environment in the classroom.
10. Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater to the needs of the various learners based on their abilities and ranges in their classrooms.

Head of Department – Boarding

We are a Christian school seeking a qualified Head of Department – Boarding. The role focuses on ensuring the welfare and well-being of learners, including their health, accommodation, meals, social support and counseling.

Responsibilities

1. Support in the development, review, and communication of the boarding schedule, rules, and requirements to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
2. Ensuring all boarding staff understand and consistently implement the established boarding routines and expectations.
3. Coordinate the implementation of the boarding calendar and related events in collaboration with other departments, ensuring activities run within set timelines.
4. Oversee and support staff in maintaining pupil discipline and adherence to the daily boarding and school schedules.
5. Manage time-related routines such as wake-up, lights-out, and bedtime, based on school guidelines and age-appropriate practices.
6. Supervise personal grooming, ensuring all boarders are clean, well-dressed, and ready for daily school, church, or co-curricular engagements.
7. Monitor and maintain high cleanliness standards within the dormitories, including bed arrangement and regular airing of bedding.
8. Identify children with specific needs such as bed-wetting, and help develop a discreet and supportive management plan with relevant staff.
9. Keep accurate records of boarding attendance and follow up on any absenteeism, working closely with the admissions office, head teacher, and accounts office.
10. Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure all boarders receive appropriate meals, especially those with special dietary needs, in line with school policy.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Teaching.
2. TSC Registration.
3. Counselling Qualification.
4. 3 years of relevant experience.
