Key responsibilities
- Operating studio/OB equipment and ensuring sound and video produced are of the highest
broadcasting standards. - Provide daily reports of events & recommend ways of improvement to their supervisors.
- Act as a sound operator within the gallery/studio, ensuring that all sound accessories are in place/working condition, miking of guests, and undertaking the various sound and vision mixing
in accordance with professional Broadcast standards. - Ensuring scheduled programs and adverts are run as per the DTs.
- Ensuring all cameras and lighting equipment within the studio are correctly/always aligned before and during live/prerecorded programs.
- To check peak levels against peak/VU meter calibration to ensure clarity of
up-sounds/commentary/music as per laid down procedures - Work closely with video production
Qualifications
- At least a Diploma in Media Technology, Film, TV Production, Sound/Camera or a relevant field from a recognized institution
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in Sound, Camera, Vision mixer, and Lighting operations
in a media station.
Skill
- Knowledge of Audio/vision mixers, Cameras, Master play-outs, and studio lighting.
- Sound setups and operations knowledge of in-house and outside, in the field
- Keen listener and follows instructions as guided.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to think, judge accurately and make independent decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure.
