no further! We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant at Amani Transporters and Logistics to join our finance department and contribute to our continued success.

Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Duties and Responsibilities:

Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
Assist with financial and tax audits
Document and monitor internal controls in support of the auditing team.
Analyze complex financial reports and records
Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy.
Train and mentor junior staff.
Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations
Prepare financial reports and performance account reconciliations.
Maintain the general ledger, prepare tax returns, assist with audit preparations, and perform
other accounting duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
Professional accounting qualification, CPA K.
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ODOO ERP
system is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
