Payroll Manager at CCI Global
To oversee and manage all payroll functions. Payroll Manager at CCI Global will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with all relevant regulations, and maintaining payroll records.
1. Payroll Management & Processing
- Oversee payroll activities, ensuring all processes are defined, carried out, and payments are made according to company policy.
- Maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll processing, with a focus on streamlining processes and improving accuracy.
- Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained according to statutory requirements and company policy.
2. Compliance & Auditing
- Ensure that payroll systems are up to date and any changes are approved and implemented according to policy.
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll, preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Stay up-to-date with payroll regulations and compliance requirements, communicating any changes to the Chief People Officer and analyzing potential impacts on payroll.
3. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, support, and develop a motivated, skilled, and dependable payroll team to meet business objectives.
- Set weekly objectives for the payroll team, ensuring development needs are addressed and operational goals are met.
- Manage the payroll team in terms of both operational and project-related tasks.
4. Data Management & Reporting
- Act as the data owner of payroll master data, ensuring its integrity, compliance, and the confidential use of personal data.
- Prepare and manage regular payroll reports, as well as ad hoc reports for management as required.
- Prepare documentation for annual audits, ensuring efficiency in information sharing to avoid duplication of effort throughout the year.
5. Process Improvement & Best Practices
- Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits, and tax procedures to recommend and implement best practice operations.
- Implement business improvement projects to enhance payroll processes and overall department performance.
- Set up monthly meetings with payroll and finance teams to discuss queries and share ideas for departmental improvements.
6. Communication & Collaboration
- Regularly communicate with the CPO regarding changes in compliance requirements and their potential impact on payroll.
- Collaborate with other departments, especially finance, to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with overall financial operations.
7. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure that all statutory requirements relating to payroll taxes and returns are met.
- Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and keep payroll practices aligned with legal and regulatory changes.
- This role is critical in ensuring that payroll operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company policies and statutory requirements, while also fostering a strong, well-developed team
Skills and Competencies
- Experience in running large payrolls
- Proficient in payroll software and systems.
- Proficiency in SAGE 300 People software is a must.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Analytical Skills –Conducting analysis on raw data and information
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills Education
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Advanced Computer literacy (MS Office) advanced Word, proficient Power Point and Advanced Excel knowledge.
- Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
- 5 – 7 years’ Experience as a Payroll Manager.
- Additional qualifications in Human Resources Management (optional)
