The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) is an independent public agency established by an Act of Parliament, Cap 485 A under the National Treasury and Econimic Planning. CMA is charged with the prime responsibility of supervising, licensing and monitoring the activities of market intermediaries, including the Stock Exchange and the Central Depository and Settlement Corporation(CDSC). It also regulates all licensees under the Capital Markets Act, including Online Forex, Commodities and Regulated Exchanges.

TEMPORARY ASSISTANT – ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE – 1 POSITION
Contract Period: Six (6) Months Fixed Term Contract
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting and Finance the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Reconciliation of Accounts payables;
- Assist in preparation of annual accounting schedules for external audit purposes;
- Prepare creditors aged analysis and deal with outstanding issues including following up with the suppliers for any necessary information or documentation;
- Prepare expenses and other monthly schedules;
- Reconcile supplier accounts, other payable accounts e.g., Pay As You Earn (PAYE) , Withholding Tax (WHT), among others and general review of expense accounts;
- Liasing with the Supply Chain Management Department in the automation of processes to enhance efficiency in supplier management;
- Preparing weekly/monthly cash projection and daily cash position report;
- Support in the preparation of payment vouchers on regular basis; and
- Assist in the preparation and posting of revenue invoices for transaction fees on Equity, Transaction fees on Bonds, approval fees, market development and license fees in accordance with the Capital Markets Act.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Commerce/ Science in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or any business -related degree;
- A full or partial accounting qualification or a commitment to pursue such a qualification will be required; and
- Basic IT and knowledge of automated accounting systems will be an added advantage.

TEMPORARY ASSISTANT – ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS AND CONTROL – 1 POSITION
Contract Period: Six (6) Months Fixed Term Contract
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting and Finance, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Support in Identification, of automation and process improvement opportunities in operations and in development and maintenance of automation tools to improve efficiency especially within internal operations;
- Support in installing tools that will optimize processing of accumulated data into useful inputs for decision making;
- Supporting the Finance Manager in reviewing, enhancing and sustaining automation of entire scope of financial reports for internal and external purposes in the ERP for ease of continuous monitoring and reporting;
- Supporting process owners by leading in development of tools to facilitate ease of compliance with KRA, National Treasury, and other legal and procedural compliance issues as might arise from time to time;
- Support in the design, interface and integration between Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP for effective support in decision making;
- Supporting in automaton of other processes including effective integration and usage of e-procurement;
- Supporting HR in delivery and sustaining e-recruitment, eLearning, Score cards and other Admin systems to drive efficiency and reliability; and
- Likely to invest 20% – 40% of time in accounting and other operations-related duties.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- An upper second Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science or its equivalent;
- A recognized ICT professional qualification/certification relevant to financial/customer service systems development;
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD). A specialization in Microsoft Dynamics will be an added advantage; and
- A full or partial accounting qualification or a commitment to pursue such a qualification will be required of the right candidate.

- Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment;
- An understanding of the workings of a Finance department in a reputable organization;
- Self-starter;
- High level of attention to detail, analytical and report writing skills;
