JOB SUMMARY

Our client is a hygiene products manufacturing firm in Salgaa and is seeking a Credit Control & Sales Support Assistant. The Credit Control Officer at I Manage Limited Kenya will manage customer credit accounts to ensure correct account posting, timely payment collection, and minimize financial risk. The role will also support the sales team with client engagement and account coordination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Assess and monitor customer creditworthiness.
  • With authorization from the accountant, set and update credit limits and payment terms for clients.
  • Track receivables and follow up on due and overdue accounts.
  • Generate credit reports and advise management on high-risk accounts.
  • Assist in processing orders and confirming credit status for sales approvals.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
  • Follow up on daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Follow up with clients on orders, delivery timelines, and payment plans.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage timely payments.
  • Handle client queries related to credit terms, account statements, and reconciliations.
  • Record payments and allocate them correctly to invoices.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and assist in resolving disputes.
  • Offer support in the preparation of financial reports.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • CPA Part 3 (Sec 6)/ Certified Credit Professional (CCP).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in credit control & accounts.
  • Confident with great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good understanding of credit risk and financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and SAGE accounting software.
