Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Coding Instructor, located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Coding Instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum, teaching coding and programming concepts, mentoring students, and assessing their progress. Additionally, the instructor will engage with parents and the community to promote STEM education, participate in workshops and events, and collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Scratch, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom instruction
• Strong communication, mentoring, and assessment skills
• Ability to engage with parents, students, and community members
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Prior experience in teaching or tutoring is a plus
• Passion for STEM education and working with children and young adults
