Key responsibilities:
Internal
- Coordinate with MRM Warehouse Manager to implement overall Warehouse and store optimization strategy in regard to space, capacity, productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the assets in the Warehouse.
- Coordinating with the planning and procurement team on material requirements.
Warehousing (Raw material and finished goods)
- Plan and organize day-to-day warehouse operations in consultation and effective coordination with the MRM Warehouse Team Lead and MRM Warehouse Manager to ensure that all objectives of function are achieved.
- Physical checking, counting and receiving adhering to SOPs to maximise throughput.
- Manage inventory of all FG SKUs in MRM Athi River warehouse and establish controls to ensure the warehouse is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.
- Receiving inventory accurately and in a timely manner, verifying product quality, using appropriate technology, and maintaining necessary records
- Maintaining the quality of inventory by using proper storage and handling equipment and procedures and first-in-first-out procedures.
- Implement visual management standards and stacking measures for easy access and tracking of products.
- Ensuring that customs regulations are met in the bonded store
- Inventory visibility and accuracy through accurate cycle count and physical reconciliation of Inventory against the SAP ERP system as well as root cause analysis and reporting on any stock differences.
- Adherence to Safety norms & policy compliance and implementing 5S to make the warehouse safer and more productive.
- Picking and Shipping of material against the customer sales orders following the dispatch plan, in order to achieve maximum On Time In Full deliveries
- Ensure material movement based on the FIFO workflow system in the warehouse.
- Effective coordination with Production, Dispatch, and Sales teams for smooth flow of receipt & issue of material
- Improve Inventory visibility and availability of material as per the requirement which will help our sales team to achieve their targets.
- Focused approach on Inventory Management & Control by performing cycle count, ABC analysis, reconciling Safety Stock etc.
Supply Chain Administration
- Adhere to Company standards and policies in addition to all regulatory requirements
- Support and implement Company initiatives to achieve performance, quality and safety metrics
- Drive continuous improvement program in the warehouse and establish a high level of performance & standards.
- Maintain 100% accuracy in documentation, data management and compliance of SOPs.
- Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency
Requirements
Qualifications required:
- Minimum academic qualification: Diploma In SCM
- Qualifications as an added advantage: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience required:
- General work experience (years): 3+ years in ERP based Supply Chain
- Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 3 years in a similar role
- Industry: Manufacturing, Consumer goods

Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Rsponsibilities
- Coordinate quality assurance activities in respective section that includes inspection and testing activities to improve the quality of products, ensuring 100% SAP compliance and reporting.
- Conduct product trials and preparing requisite reports when required.
- Liaise with production teams for the classification and segregation of non-conforming material at the production lines.
- Co-ordinates salvaging of non-prime first time to optimise quality yield.
- Ensure Calibration, standardization and maintenance of all quality assurance measuring and testing equipment and tools.
- Lead Investigation of customer complaints, submission of investigation reports and follow through on implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure all Quality Assurance SOPs are duly updated and adhered to by all relevant staff.
- Ensure Observance of the best Environmental, health and safety practises in line with OHSE policy in respective assigned Quality assurance Section.
- Ensure Routine daily/ weekly/ Monthly/ bi annual and annual Quality assurance reports are circulated timely as per established plans.
- Ensure product care guidelines are followed through entire value chain as per policy to mitigate against loss of product quality through handling and storage.
- Conduct Quality assurance related trainings as per established plans.
- Act as Quality assurance focal point in ISO management systems in respective sections.
Requirements
Qualifications required:
- bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or Equivalent
- Lean Management Systems Training
- Basic training in OHSE,
- Lead auditor in ISO 9001/ 14001 / 45001
- Min: 5 years Specific to the position (level/discipline/years)
- Manufacturing industry experience
- ISO management systems
- Understanding of national and international standards in related steel industry
