JOB SUMMARY
To provide comprehensive dental care, promote oral health strategies, and ensure the highest quality of dental services to patients and their family members as well as to cultivate a safe, secure and healthy environment for patients, colleagues and staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of oral health conditions including cavities. gum disease, tooth decay and root canals
  • Perform preventative dental procedures such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
  • Restore teeth with fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants.
  • Perform oral surgery procedures such as tooth extractions and wisdom teeth removal.
  • Prescribe medications, including antibiotics and pain relievers.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest dental technologies and techniques.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of patients’ mouths, teeth, and gums.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ needs and preferences.
  • Communicate effectively with patients about their oral health and treatment options.
  • Provide clear instructions for home oral hygiene practices.
  • Build rapport with patients and ensure a positive dental experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery from a recognized medical school.
  • Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB)
  • A valid practicing license for the current period.
  • Professional Insurance Indemnity Cover.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a busy hospital.

Human Resource Intern

JOB SUMMARY
To provide administrative support to the HR department, assisting with day-to-day HR tasks and projects contributing to the smooth operation of HR processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in maintaining employee records and updating HR databases.
  • Support the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Help with the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing necessary documentation.
  • Participate in organizing and executing employee engagement activities.
  • Assist in preparing HR-related reports and presentations.
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering queries and managing HR-related correspondence.

Community Oral Health Officer

JOB SUMMARY
To cultivate a safe, secure and healthy environment for patients, colleagues and staff and provide exceptional quality care services to patients and their family members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Screening patients, reviewing a patient’s oral health history and teaching appropriate brushing and flossing techniques.
  • Perform oral examination and charting, cleaning of teeth and polishing.
  • Perform simple extractions, place fissure sealants, and apply topical fluorides and temporary fillings.
  • Use dental X-ray machines to take dental radiographs and develop the film for the dentist’s analysis.
  • Review pre-operative settings and make sure that the dentist has what is required to carry out dental procedures; i.e. provide necessary help to the dentist, including mixing materials, trimming, and polishing dental casts.
  • Implements and adheres to infection prevention protocols including autoclaving instruments after use, cleaning the dental procedures space and safe storage.
  • Liase with the Dental Assistants in maintaining a record of day-to-day activities of the dental unit and prepare regular reports as needed. Escalate complex cases to the dentist and perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Community Oral Health
  • Registration with a valid license from Oral Health Association of Kenya (OHAK) / Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
  • Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience
  • Proficient in computer applications
