ABOUT THE ROLE

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Teach and deliver exceptional, real world, enquiry-based History/ CRE lessons that align with the Kenya curriculum requirements.
  • Maintain positive, constructive and professional relationships with students, their families and colleagues.
  • Develop lessons plans and partner with the Learning Design Team in reviewing and updating lessons when required/ desired.
  • Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning, is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students and maintain an organized and focused learning environment.
  • Infuse joy and passion for learning in lessons so that students are excited and interested in their academic excellence.
  • Provide necessary accommodations and modifications for the growth and success of all students both in academic and culture expectations.

  • Set and communicate rigorous and ambitious goals for all students and provide effective student feedback so they internalize them.

  • Serve as teacher on duty and/or boarding teacher on duty and support school wide programs aimed at behavior interventions.
  • Timely capture of students data on academic outcomes and articulation of students progress to NP families and other stakeholders when called upon to do so.
  • Support clubs, societies and other core-curricular enrichments at the school aimed at building all rounded students.
  • Serve as a home room teachers when called upon to do so.

ABOUT YOU

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • TSC certification and a relevant Degree in Education.
  • Strictly 3+years teaching experience.

Administrative Assistant, Tatu Girls School

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role you play with your Line Manager will include the responsibilities below;

  • Live the Nova Culture
  • Perform a wide variety of clerical and other office functions and activities related to the administration of diverse programs and operations at the school.
  • Make and receive phone calls on the school’s telephone lines
  • Facilitate the Public Relations function of the front office including communication (school emails and classdojo).
  • Prepare the school newsletter as guided.
  • Prepare documents for internal display on pin-boards or notice boards
  • Respond to routine correspondences and send out scheduled communications
  • Manage the stores of learning/teaching materials.
  • Any other duties as assigned by your manager.

The role you play with the School Principal will include the responsibilities below;

  • Schedule meetings for The Principal in line with the diary as requested.

  • Attend Parent Teacher Association meetings and take minutes on behalf of the School Principal.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Skills and Qualifications required:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Office Administration and possess HR knowledge and skills, Operations management is desired but not required.
  • You have 2-3 years in Front Office Management, preferably of an established startup, large company or a school
  • You are experienced or open to learning the Google software suite (Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, G Mail, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • You are experienced and proficient in MS Suite with strong writing skills (for office communication) and are skilled in making posters and certificates
  • You have excellent organizational, planning and time management skills – you are able to handle many moving parts while maintaining high standards of excellence

Laboratory Technician

Nova Pioneer is looking for a superstar Laboratory Technician for our Tatu Girls School. You will play a critical role in delivering an exceptional 21st Century learning experience for our students. The successful candidate should be willing and ready to start with us in August 2024.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Liaising with science teaching staff on their needs for practical work and maintain an efficient system for the use and allocation of materials and equipment, setting a priority system where necessary.
  • Advising science teaching staff on technical components of the curriculum.
  • Assisting science teaching staff with demonstrations.
  • Assisting science teaching staff in instructing students on the use/care of equipment.
  • Advising and assist science teaching staff in safety matters relating to the science laboratory.
  • Demonstrating laboratory techniques to science teaching staff/students.
  • Setting out equipment and materials for the classroom/department.
  • Using clear classroom demonstrations.
  • Maintaining a safe chemical storage/handling/disposal system in accordance with current regulations.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable.
  • Plan and execute appropriate activities for the children each day according to the curriculum, schemes of work and lesson plans that meet the social, physical and emotional needs of the children.
  • Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order to prevent injuries and damage.
  • Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling
  • Prepare materials, classrooms, and other indoor and outdoor spaces to facilitate creative play, learning and motor-skill activities, and safety.

Specific roles as Art Teachers includes:

  • Administer Art Lessons under our model – Exploration Art
  • Coordinate Exploration Day/Week activities and projects
  • Review Lesson plans and liaise with Learning Design on Exploration Resources
  • Set relevant themes for school decor for learning and administrative spaces and ensure school bulletin boards are updated monthly as well as allocating bulletin boards for various announcements.
