Job Summary:
The Senior IT Officer at Rafiki Microfinance Bank โ Head Office is responsible for providing end-user IT system support to staff, handling of user queries, IT-related projects, IT infrastructure maintenance ensuring smooth and secure operations of core banking systems that meet the set SLA for smooth running of Bankย
Key Responsibilities:ย
- Resolve IT system user queries and problems within the TAT.ย
- Troubleshooting, Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;ย
- Monitoring and maintaining Banks and its affiliate IT systems.ย
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;ย
- Creation of new usersโ accounts and profile.ย
- Working with third parties to achieve IT related tasksย
- Perform preventive maintenance duties on IT system.ย
- Perform EOD, EOM, EOY proceduresย
- Collaborate with other departments to leverage technology to enhance business operations.ย
- Manage network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and VPN.ย
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performanceย
- Server and systems administration-regular system updates and backups.ย
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance of IT equipmentย
- Managing and maintaining databases to ensure data integrity and availability.ย
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users.ย
- Participate in IT projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.ย
- Ensure high availability and performance of servers, network systems, databases, and other IT infrastructure.ย
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect against data breaches, malware, and other cyber threats.ย
- Provide technical support for the core banking software, ensuring updates, patches, and customizations are properly implemented.ย
Qualifications:ย
- Bachelorโs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related fieldย
- 2-4 Yearsโ working experienceย
- Experience with server administration, virtualization, and cloud services.ย
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Oracle Database Administration, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, ITIL) are a plus.ย
