Sales Manager

Location: Nairobi

We are looking for an experienced & passionate Sales Professional responsible for Sales to Banks, Fintech, Retail, Ecommerce , Travel sectors in the country. He/She will build new partnerships and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive retention, satisfaction, and revenue/margin growth.

Role involves achieving revenue goals by

  • understanding customers business needs
  • ensuring successful implementation and adoption of CPAAS solutions
  • identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

He/She will be the primary point of contact for customers, to coordinate with internal backend support teams to address their inquiries, concerns, and technical requirements throughout the customer lifecycle.

Some of the roles and responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Build and manage a pipeline of potential customers to achieve the revenue goals.
  • Prepare and present proposals, business cases, and ROI analyses to clients to demonstrate the value of additional CPAAS services and features.
  • Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on clients’ evolving needs and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, technical support, and product development, to ensure timely resolution of client issues and alignment of solutions with client needs.
  • Coordinate with implementation teams to oversee the onboarding process for new clients, including solution customization, training, and integration with existing systems.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the CPAAS space to provide relevant insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Gather and share market intelligence and competitive information on an ongoing basis as inputs into planning and marketing efforts around sales/product from time to time.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations, including C-level executives, IT professionals, and decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and uncover opportunities for expansion.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on leveraging CPAAS capabilities to achieve their communication goals and objectives.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, account management, client relationship management, or customer success, preferably in the technology or telecommunications industry.
  • Strong understanding of communication technologies, including voice, SMS, email, and chat.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Sales/Account Management experience of 5-10 years ,building & growing partnerships with Enterprises in Banking, Fintech, Technology E-commerce, Travel sectors and with Government departments.
