Relationship Officer at Sumac Microfinance Bank

JOB SUMMARY:

Relationship Officer at Sumac Microfinance Bank is expected to deliver a high-quality client service and customer retention approach to manage client relationships to enhance product sales and new client growth targets while achieving agreed individual performance targets for deposit growths, income generation, product sales and new client growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively develop client relationships, anticipate and provide solutions to client needs and give high priority to client satisfaction,
Duly effecting client instructions by applying all standard checks and controls while coordinating with other departments including Operations/Finance/ Compliance.
Accurately assess the risk profile, suitability and appropriateness of clients when marketing products and services by maintaining an accurate and up to date call report, KYC database
Handle client queries of day-to-day nature via telephone/fax/post/e-mail and assisting in resolving client problems within the team.
Achieve a satisfactory level of knowledge of Banking products and services by being updated with related developments.
Open, close and maintain loan accounts in accordance with the established procedures.
Apply regulatory requirements such as KYC, Money Laundering Prevention and NOR procedures at all times.

Academic Qualifications

Business related undergraduate degree
Professional certificate in banking will be an added advantage

Experience & Skill requirements

At least 2 years working experience in a financial institution with 1-year experience in a similar capacity
Relationship building and management
Good communication skills
Ability to solve problems and make decisions effectively
Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations
Results driven and customer focused

Computer literacy – MS Office Suite
