Recruitment Specialist at CCI Kenya

Recruitment Specialist at CCI Kenya is responsible for primary oversight and management of sourcing best possible candidates and matching them to the open positions.

Focus will be on talent sourcing, candidate identification, developing and monitoring of recruitment best practices of CCI Kenya’s recruitment processes, procedures, and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the interview process, including candidates sourcing, screening, selection, interview planning, candidate engagement and facilitation of on-boarding process.
  • Conduct vacancy brief meetings with Hiring Managers to ensure a complete understanding of the job requirements and qualifications needed to fill each role.
  • Ensure implementation of Standard Operating Procedures in all recruitment stages.
  • Review applications and evaluate candidate qualifications against criteria established in the job descriptions.
  • Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates.
  • Provide recruitment status reports to hiring managers on a timely basis.
  • Assist in designing, distributing and measuring the results of candidate experience surveys.
  • Assist in developing easy to use recruitment templates and forms ( common email templates, recruitment manuals, interview guides and feedback guides, etc).
  • Evaluate and improve recruitment related processes.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing recruiting processes, procedures, and systems including sourcing of appropriate applicant tracking system for day-to-day candidate management and database.
  • Assist in developing and facilitating training on recruiting processes and provide periodic training to staff on recruitment and onboarding best practices.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of the recruitment & onboarding processes, research on best practices, obtain feedback from new hires and Hiring Managers, and utilize data to refine and improve the processes over time.
  • Ensure timely communication with candidates, Hiring Managers and vendors on the recruiting process and pending needs.
  • Manage candidate communication and relationship throughout the recruitment lifecycle and educate candidates about recruitment procedures, and best recruitment practices.
  • Develop efforts to support affirmative action goals and participate in recruitment internal trainings and awareness sessions in support of diversity hiring and inclusive sourcing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across HC to provide a ‘seamless service’ to all ‘customers’ and contribute to the achievement of departmental goals.

  • Basic MS Office Skills – Excel, MS word and Outlook.
  • Fast learner and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • 4 years prior experience as a Recruiter in a service industry or recruitment consultancy.
