Purpose of the Job

Provide a range of appropriate methods of teaching and assessment to demonstrate clinical learning opportunities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities are:

  • Deliver lectures as part of a formal curriculum and host tutorials and other small group teaching.
  • Engage in the assessment of students and assist with the preparation of clinical case material.
  • Utilize a range of appropriate methods of teaching and assessment to demonstrate clinical learning opportunities.
  • Provide direct assistance in the use of equipment, learning objects, and materials needed for student success
  • Instruct and supervise students in the programmers of the College in the relevant clinical subject area.
  • Provide academic counseling and advice to students.
  • Setting tests and evaluating practical skills
  • Prepares timetables and Instruction materials

Knowledge and Skills Required:

The jobholder must possess;

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Must have served as a Tutor for a minimum period 2 years
  • Must have knowledge in use of MS office packages

Clinical Instructor

Purpose of the Job

To instruct and supervise students in the programmes of the College in the relevant clinical subject area.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities are:

  • Professional development activities to improve tutorial skill and continue to grow cultural competence and reflection skills
  • Provide direct assistance in the use of equipment, learning objects, and materials needed for student success
  • Instruct and supervise students in the programmers of the College in the relevant clinical subject area.
  • Recognize the different learning styles and student preferences
  • Create a professional and welcoming environment by modeling respect for students’ diverse cultures, language skills, and experiences
  • Engage in the assessment of students and assist with the preparation of clinical case material.
  • Utilize a range of appropriate methods of teaching and assessment to demonstrate clinical learning opportunities.
  • Provide academic counseling and advice to students.
  • Liaise with other tutors and staff in other academic and clinical departments to ensure integrated delivery of all courses when necessary.

Deputy Principal

Purpose of the Job

Assists in supporting the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning across the college and contribute to college self-evaluation and the development of improvement plans.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities are:

  • Assists the Principal in developing a college environment which is supportive of learning and high achievement among the students.
  • Assists the Principal in developing the education aims and objectives of the college, and devising strategies to achieve them.
  • Assists the Principal in co-coordinating the college plan and policies for approval by the Board.
  • Assists the Principal in promoting ongoing personal development and in-service and in the identification of the staffing needs of the college – i.e. teaching and support staff.
  • Assists the Principal in the day to day management of the college, including the planning and overseeing of the daily time tabling of classes.
  • Assists the Principal in matters of student discipline, in the promotion of good order and general supervision between classes.

Purpose of the Job

To maintain the college hostel in line with the highest quality and hygiene standards to ensure comfort of students at the college.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities are:

  • Supervise and conduct daily detailed inspection and cleanliness of dormitory rooms, dining, public areas, back of the dormitory and grounds.
  • Ensure compliance with the college’s standards of excellence, health/sanitation standards and regulations
  • Coordinate the necessary repairs with the hospital Maintenance department in timely fashion
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling housekeeping procedures
  • Assign cleaning and housekeeping duties to students and inspect work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
  • Ensure all the dormitories are well equipped with the necessary equipment and appliances
  • Ensure the safety of the persons and property of all within the hostel by fairly applying institution regulations and providing sufficient information on use of appliances and equipment

Purpose of the Job

To provide user support and customer service on the College supported computer applications and platforms as well as to troubleshoot problems and advise on the appropriate action.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities are;

  • Provide teaching and orientation to new students of existing technology.
  • Provide network access to all staff and students
  • Carry out Daily, Weekly and Monthly backups for the processes management systems, and ensure that the backup media are kept in safe custody as required.
  • Implementation of approved data management System job requests as per the users’ requirements.
  • Organize and facilitate training for the data management system to users according to the users’ needs.
  • Assist in developing training materials for any acquired management system, and Basic Computer usage.
  • Overseeing all hardware and software installation and network connectivity to all Computer Workstations.
  • Ensuring that the college IT systems are working as they should, 24hrs a day, by ensuring timely repair and replacements.
  • Install and configure operating systems to an agreed standard.
  • Compile support centre technical documentation, guidelines and procedures and ensure they are disseminated to users.

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field
