Job Summary:

TheĀ Accounts ClerkĀ is responsible for carrying out day-to-day accounting transactions in in supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, verifying receipts and deposits, preparing & maintaining records, and producing relevant reports as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receipting and posting of payments.
  • Sending pre-authorizations and approval for admissions.
  • Settlement of insurance claims.
  • Settlement of patients invoices.
  • Clearance for patients procedures and discharge.
  • Handing over of generated claims and bank/credit slips.

Qualifications& Experience

  • CPA Part I.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience, preferably in a healthcare setup.
  • Knowledge of Accounting/Finance.
  • Proficiency with accounting software.

Assistant Accountant

Job Summary:

TheĀ assistant accountant is responsible for tracking & recording financial transactions, updating financial records, and participating in the preparation of financial statements. In addition, they ensure the accuracy of all financial information and perform administrative duties related to finances and payment processing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verification and finalization of patient bills.
  • Daily reconciliation of cash and insurance claims.
  • Debtors invoicing and monitoring of patients bills.
  • Petty cash management.
  • Doctors claim reconciliation and payment.
  • Statutory payments and other payments.
  • Reconciliation and payment of suppliers invoices.
  • Asset verification and stock management.
  • Participates in debtors and creditors reconciliation and allocation.
  • Takes part in general ledger and inter-unit and bank reconciliations.
  • Preparation and participation in both internal and external audits.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA Part II.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of Accounting/Finance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.

Finance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven finance manager to oversee the hospital’s financial operations, ensuring transparency, compliance, and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, a heart of service, and the ability to manage budgets, grants, and donor funds effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, donor requirements, and internal policies.
  • Oversee accounting functions, including payroll, procurement, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present financial statements, audits, and grant utilization reports.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency.
  • Strengthen internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
  • Liaise with donors, partners, and government agencies on financial matters.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Registered as a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
  • 10 years of experience in financial management, 5 of which must be in a senior management position in a hospital.
  • Proficiency in Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare financing, grant management, and donor reporting.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and ethical decision-making skills.
  • Alignment with the mission and values of the hospital.
