Driver, Office Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Lead Security in the reinforcement of transport and security policies and procedures;
  • Conducting Morning IJM Fleet parade, (Body and Engine check) and assisting IJM staff and visitors in vehicle parking arrangement;
  • Airport/Hotel transfers for International visitors and VIPs using IJM vehicles;
  • Supporting and providing for transport needs for field operations;
  • Completing the vehicle log correctly and conscientiously as per the IJM standards;
  • Running official errands and assisting with other office work;
  • Ensuring that the fleet is clean, fueled and equipped with necessary amenities;
  • Provide staff Support while in the field operations as requested; and
  • Ensure the office is cleaned and maintained in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • O level certificate holder D+ and above;
  • Driving experience with a reputable security firm or organization, (A MUST);
  • Sound knowledge of basic auto mechanics;
  • Basic knowledge of first aid skills preferred;
  • Good communicator, with great interpersonal skills;
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Valid and clean driving license, with at least 5 years’ driving experience with no major accidents;
  • Experience in VIP escort and or Executive driving;
  • Basic Defensive driving skills and understanding of day-to-day office administrative errands;
  • Competent in Transport and Road Safety Rules as required in Kenya; and
  • A valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

Coordinator, Survivor Services

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of networks of care with other stakeholders that empower clients towards restoration;
  • Participate in advocacy forums for communities around community justice centers to increase social demand for survivors to file complaints and follow up on their cases through completion;
  • Participate in the development & implementation of survivor-related policies and strategies to ensure the achievement of survivor-related outcomes and sub-outcomes while observing best practices;
  • Ensure internal information management with relevant departments within the confines of shared confidentiality to ensure the success of the multidisciplinary approach to service delivery for the survivors;
  • Participate in planning and delivery of trauma-informed care and related training for partners and stakeholders to ensure survivor sensitivity within the criminal justice system;
  • Complete needs assessments and accomplish aftercare successful outcome forms for all IJM clients in the caseload while strictly observing the aftercare security policy;
  • Do a risk assessment of every aftercare client with the view of establishing the risk level and the best social work intervention;
  • Develop treatment plans that clearly articulate how the client’s needs will be met including the reintegration plan;
  • Participate in restoration of clients once the treatment plan has been completed;
  • Consistently document services provided to clients in the case management system;
  • Participate in Case Determination Panels;
  • Ensure proper documentation of survivor-related activities and services in relevant data forums;
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of Survivor-focused events and activities;
  • Ensure proper coordination of survivors, counselors, and staff in the provision of timely and quality counseling services;
  • Participate in IJM programs of professionalism and spiritual formation; and
  • Any other duty assigned by the Senior Manager, Survivor Services and Kenya Field Office Country Director.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work/Counseling Psychology or equivalent. A Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field is an added advantage;
  • At least three (3) years of professional experience practicing as a social worker in a reputable organization and/or providing counseling or psychotherapy to victims of trauma;
  • Proven experience in successful networking with service providers including resource mapping;
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct;
  • Excellent report writing skills;
  • Well-versed in trauma-focused models, principles and processes;
  • Strong ethical and professional adherence to social work code of ethics;
  • Advocacy and social justice skills;
  • Clear, concise, and effective written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili; and
  • Excellent advocacy skills.

Coordinator, Security

Responsibilities

  • Provide protection and security advise including overseeing safety and security of staff members, taking lead during security operations, risk management, financial stewardship and contributing to initiatives and processes;
  • Take lead on security operations by preparing security plans and conducting pre-deployment briefs/debriefs to staff members;
  • Ensure that mitigating measures are in place at all times to deter or deny identified threats and to preserve the security, safety and well-being of IJM Kenya staff;
  • Provide on-the-ground leadership in response to incidents while in the field and provide input to office and country leadership on crisis management;
  • Participate in the development of security strategies, initiatives and processes that enhances networking with other security actors;
  • Participate in the development, review and implementation of all security related policies, standards and procedures, both internally and externally;
  • Evaluate current political, social and climatic conditions for possible threats to the safety and security of Field Office staff;
  • Participate in identifying, recommending and planning for security trainings for IJM Kenya staff and partners;
  • Conduct risk assessments, pre deployment assessment, and develop risk mitigation treatment plans and strategies for the office;
  • Support the senior security officers and the drivers in coordination of transport calendar and operational deployment of vehicles;
  • Participate in IJM’s programs of professionalism and spiritual formation; and
  • Any other duty assigned by the Senior Manager, Security and Kenya Field Office Country Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in security related studies;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in conducting protective service/security operations for a military service or law enforcement agency;
  • Proven ability to design, successfully implement and review tactical security operations in the field;
  • Proficiency in the analysis of security threats, risks and vulnerability in Kenya;
  • Proficiency in crisis management and conducting route analysis;
  • Experience in VIP and/or witness protection and contractor/guard supervision preferred;
  • Formal protective service operation training preferred;
  • Computer literate with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook; and
  • Have held a Kenyan or international driving license for at least three years.
