GSC Seed Lab Intern at One Acre Fund

About the Role

You will execute seed sampling and testing, machine and equipment management, seed laboratory data collection, and the cleaning/arrangement of the seed laboratory. This is a paid internship role and will report to GSC Seed Lab Technician. This is a full-time job onsite at Tupande Kakamega Seed Lab.

Responsibilities

  • To Support in the daily seed sampling and testing at the Lab.
  • Support in seeds recertification process.
  • To Support in general smooth running of the lab.
  • Will Support in internal coordination on seeds matters.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Agricultural education background.
  • Seed testing experience is desirable
  • Basic data analysis skills
  • Have a passion to serve smallholder farmers

Benefits

Interns will be provided with a reasonable stipend for the duration of their contract. Rural area-based fellows will be provided assistance in locating suitable housing.

This role is only open to citizens or permanent residents of Kenya.
