The role of Grants & Compliance Manager provides an engaging and hands-on opportunity to oversee financial budgeting, monitoring, and reporting for significant donor grants. You will also support the Business Development Team by assisting in the creation of new grant proposals and working with the operations team on detailed budget development.

  • Taking the lead on budgeting for new programs and getting involved in developing budgets for new business opportunities.
  • Monitoring areas such as safeguarding, indemnity insurance, and anti-terrorism to ensure that Triggerise complies with all contract requirements for the grants assigned to you.
  • Delivery of timely and accurate donor financial submissions for grants assigned to you.
  • Responsible for overall monitoring of financial and compliance contracts of sub-award contracts if Triggerise manages grants for partner organizations.
  • You can keep abreast of new developments and actively participate in meetings and projects with your team members.
  • Preparation of monthly variance analysis and review of the grant performance in terms of spending.
  • Reconciliation and management of various bank accounts

About you

You have a strong knowledge of accounting standards and cost-control methods. You are comfortable moving from detailed information to the big picture view and on to the resolution. You’re an excellent communicator with people of all levels.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a finance grants management role.
  • Great experience in the NGO sector, working with various international donors and different currencies.
  • Experience working with budgeting, reporting, financial analysis & contract management.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Minimum requirement: a degree in Accounting/Finance and an audit background.

The gross monthly salary bracket for this position is €3,056 – €3832 in Portugal, R59,224 – R74,031 in South Africa, Ksh377,878 – Ksh472 348 in Kenya, €2,363 – €2,954 in Ethiopia, CFA1,242,875 – CFA1,553,594 in Burkina Faso, and UGX10,919,882 – UGX13,649,853 in Uganda, plus benefits. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
