Responsibilities
- Teacherโs role is to develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude.
- Teacher will assess and record progress and prepare pupils for tests. Link pupilsโ knowledge to earlier learning and develops ways to encourage it further, challenging and inspiring pupils to help them deepen their knowledge and understanding.
- Ensure the educational development of each child, paying individual attention to each child, monitoring his/her educational progress, and taking appropriate corrective action, as necessary.
- Lead all activities within the assigned class, prepare lesson plans and outlines in accordance with the curriculum guide lines or requirements of the school.
- Organize and facilitate play/ learning activities for the learners.
- Preparing and developing attractive teaching aids.
- Use variety of activities and instructional methods to motivate and stimulate childrenโs abilities.
- Caring and nurturing holistic development.
- Should have experience of modern teaching practices and use modern technology.
- Should be great with children and is able to direct children in the right way.
- Possess report writing skills.
- Should be a team player and cooperate with the fellow co-workers
Qualifications
- Certificate /Diploma/ Degree in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE)
- Trained Pre – Primary Teacher in Kindergarten and CBC . P1 teacher is an added advantage
- Computer literate & proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- At least 1 to 2 yearsโ experience.
- TSC Number is a Must.
- Candidate must be CBC compliant
