Accounts Assistant at Orthomedics & Pharmaceuticals Limited– Eldoret
Orthomedics & Pharmaceuticals Limited is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate(s) will be employed on a one-year contract, renewable based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Posting of trade creditors Invoices and debit notes.
- Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Verifying the accuracy of invoices before processing payment of goods and services received by the company.
- Reconciliation of creditors accounts and updating of all their invoices and payments
- Reconciliation of bank statements and preparing monthly bank reconciliation reports.
- Tracking expenses and processing expense reports.
- Ensure daily and timely banking of cheques and cash.
- Maintaining financial records and ensuring proper documentation.
- Ensure that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
- Assisting with month end closing of accounts.
- Give necessary support during audits, internal and external.
- Writing of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports or as required to the Senior Accountant or as
directed by management. - Participating in periodic stocktake exercises.
- Perform any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Part II) or ACCA Level II qualification is preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Terms of Employment
The successful candidate(s) will be employed on a one year contract term renewable based on performance.
