Event Specialist at Investment Center of Africa

The Investment Centre of Africa is seeking a skilled Event Specialist on a contract basis to manage and drive revenue for our monthly and annual events. As the Investment Center of Africa continues to expand its reach across the African continent, this role will be crucial in driving events growth and building strategic partnerships to support our ambitious goals

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for event inquiries.
Develop and secure event sponsorships, ticket strategies, and partnership opportunities to generate revenue for each event.
Manage venue coordination, catering, and on-site event needs to ensure smooth execution.
Develop and execute a marketing strategy that includes direct outreach to prospects, phone calls, meetings, email campaigns, social media engagement, and leveraging personal and professional networks, while collaborating with the organization to align these strategies with overall business objectives.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience in event planning, project management, or sales and marketing
.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders
.Willingness to work flexible hours as needed for event-related activities
.Must have own vehicle for travel to event sites and meetings
