It was the fifth over-all to get licensed after the enactment of the Microfinance Act. Our main mandate as a regulated institution is to facilitate an-all-inclusive financial system in order to bridge the financial gap especially in the rural areas and the informal sector. We are hiring: IT OFFICER The Role

  • Manage and support Windows and Linux systems, including servers, clients, and virtual environments.
  • Administer and maintain LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, and firewalls across branches.
  • Ensure security, stability, and availability of the Core Banking System and ICT services.
  • Support and maintain CCTV systems, biometric access systems, PABX systems, IP phones, printers, scanners, and other IT-related equipment.
  • Perform system configuration, updates, patch management, and preventive maintenance.
  • Provide user support for hardware, software, and network issues (on-site and remote).
  • Visit branches to resolve connectivity, hardware, or system-related issues.
  • Implement ICT security controls, user access management, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Conduct regular data backups and recovery to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Apply basic database (SQL) and scripting (Bash/PowerShell) skills for system automation.
  • Collaborate with departments to integrate banking systems and ICT services.
  • Recommend ICT hardware and software upgrades based on operational needs.
  • Prepare IT reports, maintain documentation, and conduct staff in ICT training sessions.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • 2-4 years of IT operations experience in a banking or financial institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • IT related Certifications preferred.
  • Proven skills in Core Banking support, server and network management, and firewall administration.
  • Experience in data backup, system security, and ICT audits.
  • Familiarity with SQL/Oracle databases and virtualization technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities

The Role

  • Provide first-level IT support to staff for hardware, software, printer, and network issues.
  • Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers and IT equipment.
  • Support user account management including password resets and access requests.
  • Monitor and report IT incidents, system issues, and equipment faults.
  • Assist in maintaining CCTV systems, network devices, and IT inventory records.
  • Help with software updates, antivirus monitoring, and patch management.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions.
  • Assist during system upgrades, deployments, and branch support visits.
  • Ensure compliance with the bank’s IT security and operational policies.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications and Competencies

  • 1 year of IT operations experience in a banking or financial institution.
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, data analysis and Microsoft Windows/Oracle environments.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a professional banking environment.
