Airtel Kenya wishes to recruit a Trade Marketing Manager within Marketing Department. Trade Marketing Manager at Airtel Kenya. Main purpose of the role is to develops a promotional and trade branding plan for the market and liaise with Sales and other functions to ensure that the company’s branding effort results in the establishment and maintenance of a positive and progressive image in the public eye.

Trade Marketing Manager

Reporting to Head of Brand the incumbent’s role will include;

  • Develops promotion and trade branding plans and budgets.
  • Branding and refreshment of COCO shops / AMB / CPs
  • Work with Brand for the Creation & delivery of marketing material and collateral
  • Develops and communicates an implementation program for trade visibility to the Sales teams for execution.
  • Vendor coordination and management for all trade visibility materials to ensure on-time and on budget delivery of quality materials.
  • Monitors implementation of trade visibility activities through regular field visits and regular report review
  • Maintenance of Marketing material in the warehouse – ordering, distributing and maintaining an adequate stock cover
  • Continuously checks the trade for visibility gaps and takes remedial action like replacing past products/ promotions posters, faded and worn-out materials.
  • Monitors industry trends and competitor activities that can aid in developing tactical responses, as required.
  • Prepare reports for management review as per the reporting calendar.
  • Events & exhibitions – conceptualization and execution
  • County license liaison and custodian – first point of contact for sales team

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in business, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales management
  • 5-8 years’ requisite Trade marketing working experience preferably in the FMCG industry
  • Good knowledge of channel and retail sales
  • Able to work under high stress with short-term targets and objectives
  • Familiarity with and interest in contemporary brand management thinking and trends
  • Experience of handling multiple projects successfully
  • Business awareness with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Goal oriented with a high personal standard.
  • Excellent and effective interpersonal, presentation and communications skills,
