Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sign Language Interpreter at JFC Munene College of Health Sciences in Thika. You will be responsible for interpreting and translating between sign language and spoken language, facilitating communication between hearing individuals and deaf or hard of hearing individuals on campus.
Qualifications
- Sign Language and Interpreting skills
- Knowledge of Deaf Culture
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in sign language translation
- Understanding of linguistic and cultural nuances
- Ability to adapt communication style for different individuals
- Relevant certification in sign language interpreting
- Diploma in Sign Language Interpretation or related field
- At least 1 year of work experience in a learning institution
