We are committed to fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer at Safarilink Aviation to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management System (SMS): Implement, monitor, and maintain the company’s SMS in compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct safety risk assessments and hazard identification to ensure proactive mitigation of risks in operations.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing thorough analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all aviation safety regulations.
  • Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of aircraft, equipment, and facilities to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Training: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, enhancing safety awareness and promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Safety Reporting: Maintain accurate safety records and provide timely reports to management and regulatory bodies.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Support the development and testing of emergency response plans, ensuring readiness in case of incidents.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in safety management systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety-related role within the Kenyan aviation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of SMS principles, aviation safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in safety management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Experience in accident investigation is an added advantage.
