Holiday Inn Nairobi – Two Rivers is seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-driven individual to join our team as a Public Relations and Marketing Assistant at Holiday Inn Nairobi – Two Rivers
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of integrated marketing and PR campaigns that drive visibility, engagement, and revenue.
- Manage and update social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand voice and engagement.
- Draft press releases, newsletters, media alerts, and promotional materials
- Develop and write opinion pieces, thought leadership articles, and feature stories for media placement
- Build, maintain, and leverage strong relationships with media, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
- Proactively identify PR opportunities and pitch stories to secure media coverage
- Coordinate media visits, press briefings, and influencer collaborations
- Support the planning and execution of events, activations, and brand visibility initiatives.
- Monitor media coverage, compile clippings, and prepare PR and marketing performance reports.
- Conduct competitor and industry research to inform PR angles and storytelling.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communication platforms and materials.
- Support the Marketing team with administrative, coordination, and on-ground execution tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications
- 1-3 years’ experience in PR, marketing, or communications (hospitality experience is a strong advantage).
- Proven experience or strong interest in media relations and content writing (including opinion/editorial pieces).
- Established or developing network of media contacts is an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong storytelling ability.
- Strong understanding of the hospitality industry and trends.
- Proficiency in social media management and basic design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Suite is a plus).
- Highly creative, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
