We are currently seeking an experienced and customer- focused IT Technician at Gilani’s Distributors (Nakuru) professional to join our team.
Reporting to the Business Transformation Manager, this role is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to employees regarding computer systems, hardware, software, and other IT-related issues.
In addition, the IT Technical Support will troubleshoot technical problems, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruptions. This role requires excellent customer service, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the efficient operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in IT technical support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment
when required
