Head of ICT at Haco Industries Kenya Limited

Role Overview

The Head of ICT at Haco Industries Kenya Limited will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s ICT strategy, overseeing the implementation and optimization of core systems, including ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), invoicing platforms, customer care solutions, and IoT-enabled manufacturing technologies. This role will also ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of our digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a business-aligned ICT strategy.
Oversee performance and integration of SAGE ERP and related systems.
Design and manage robust, scalable IT infrastructure (Cloud, Network, Telephony).
Lead Data & Analytics strategy ensuring integrity, governance, and accessibility.
Drive digital transformation across warehousing, manufacturing, and customer service.
Champion cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
Identify and deploy emerging tech (IoT, AI, EDM, process automation) to boost efficiency and CX.
Partner with business teams to deliver tech-driven improvements.
Manage ICT budgets, vendors, and SLAs for optimal value and performance.
Build and inspire a high-performing, innovative ICT team.
Advance ICT sustainability – energy-efficient procurement and responsible e-waste management.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
ICT Professional Certification in networking and/or infrastructure management (e.g., CCNA, AWS/Azure Cloud Architect).
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or equivalent certification in IT security (CISSP, CISM).
Minimum 8 years of ICT leadership experience, ideally in manufacturing or distribution.
Proven experience with SAGE ERP systems, WMS, IIoT, Digital process automation, Cloud Computing platforms, Windows and customer service platforms.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and data protection regulations.
Excellent strategic thinking, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
