Intern Graphic Design

Artcaffé is seeking a passionate and curious Graphic Design Intern to join our in-house Creative Department. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on
experience in a fast-paced, design-driven environment while contributing to one of
Kenya’s leading lifestyle and hospitality brands.
As part of the team, you’ll support the Creative Department in developing visual assets
across multiple platforms – from social media and menus to packaging and in-store
communication. You’ll receive mentorship from experienced designers and contribute to
real brand projects that reach thousands of customers daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and production of visual content including social media posts,
flyers, menus, packaging mockups, and other brand materials. - Adapt and update existing layouts and templates under guidance from the design
team. - Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh visual ideas.
- Organize and maintain digital asset libraries and design files.
- Take part in internal design reviews, actively incorporating feedback to improve
creative output.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely delivery and quality execution of assigned design tasks.
- Consistent adherence to Artcaffé’s brand identity and visual standards.
- Positive attitude, openness to feedback, and proactive engagement in team
discussions. - Demonstrated growth in design skills, creativity, and technical proficiency throughout the internship period.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree (or currently pursuing) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with Canva is an advantage.
- Understanding of key design principles including typography, color theory,
composition, and layout. - A curious, positive, and growth-oriented mindset.
A portfolio (student or personal projects accepted) showcasing creativity and design potential.

Mid-Level Designer

About the Role
Artcaffé is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Designer to join our in-house Creative Department. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to one
of Kenya’s most iconic lifestyle and hospitality brands by shaping the look and feel
of our visual identity across packaging, retail, and marketing platforms.
As part of the creative team, you will translate brand strategy into compelling
visuals that connect with customers and uphold Artcaffè’s commitment to quality
and craft. You will work collaboratively with marketing, retail, and operations
teams, managing design projects from concept to final production with an
emphasis on precision, consistency, and creativity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop creative assets across print, packaging, retail, and digital
channels in line with Artcaffè’s brand identity. - Execute design projects from concept to production, ensuring accuracy,
functionality, and aesthetic excellence. - Prepare print-ready files and collaborate with external vendors to ensure
quality output and adherence to brand standards. - Support product launches and marketing campaigns with visual assets such as
menus, posters, catalogues, and promotional materials. - Maintain brand consistency across all materials while contributing fresh creative
ideas and improvements. - Participate in internal reviews, apply feedback constructively, and manage
multiple timelines effectively.

familiarity with print production is a plus. - Strong grasp of design principles layout, color, typography, and composition.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- A strong design portfolio showcasing creative versatility and brand
understanding.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of service staff, ensuring top-notch training, scheduling,
and performance management. - Oversee daily restaurant operations, maintaining seamless service and upholding
Artcaffe’s high standards. - Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere by engaging with guests and resolving
concerns professionally. - Collaborate with the kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth
coordination and exceptional dining experiences. - Assist in inventory management, stock control, and procurement to optimize
efficiency. - Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in implementing strategies to drive sales and
enhance guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
- At least 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel
environment. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with POS/ERP systems (e.g., Micros) is a plus.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
