Job Purpose
This job is responsible for undertaking tests, commissions and maintains Substation Automation and SCADA Systems of all KETRACO Substations, to allow for both Monitoring and Control of the substations both from the local Substations and from the Central SCADA system at the National Control Centre in Nairobi and to support data analysis, decision making and 99.99% system availability.
Key Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks
- Supervises Graduate Engineers and Technicians in section during operation and maintenance activities of Telecommunication systems.
- Participates in review of substation Telecommunication, CCTV and Access control System project designs.
- Performs testing and commissioning of new Telecommunication Systems equipment.
- Participates in preparation of specifications for Telecommunication equipment and systems as per the approved policies and procedures
- Participates in Commissioning as well as Operation and Maintenance activities of CCTV, Access Control and Wide Area Network systems across all KETRACO substations and repeater stations
- Supervises substation Telecommunication, CCTV and Access control System project works as well as Testing and Commissioning activities
- Engages in operation and maintenance activities of the Power Systems Telecommunication Networks and Multiplexer Systems for all KETRACO Substations and Repeater Stations to enable and support Monitoring and Control of the substations and repeater stations both from the Central SCADA systems at the Regional and National Control Centres as well as all Backup Control Centres and to provide 99.99% system availability
- Issues and Receives Safety Electrical Permits to work and Limitation of Access.
- Prepares Telecommunication works reports.

Job purpose
This Job is responsible for ensuring efficient management of the litigation portfolio by facilitating the effective and expeditious prosecution and/or defence of disputes involving the Company.
Key Responsibilities;
- Providing research material necessary for institution of suits in courts/tribunals;
- Undertaking the discovery of evidence for use in cases where the Company is a party;
- Drafting pleadings and other relevant documents for filing in courts/tribunals;
- Aiding communication with the Office of Attorney General and Department of Justice as may be required in litigation management;
- Conducting witness preparations for trials/hearings and arranging attendances of witnesses;
- Implementing Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms;
- Initiating settlement proceedings where appropriate in matters pending in courts/tribunals;
- Conducting hearings in matters before courts/tribunals;
- Preparing necessary communication to the Office of the Attorney General and

Job Purpose
This job is responsible for coordinating implementation of security Procedures and Work Instructions for effective and efficient security management in the Company’s premises and Installations.
Key Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks
- Supervising the Security Agents/Regional Officers
- Ensuring that the Company staff and service providers comply with security policies, regulations and guidelines
