Branch Manager – Garissa

AA Kenya is expanding its branch network to major towns  in Kenya.  We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated  individual to fill the position of Business Development Manager at our newly opened Garissa branch.

The position holder will report to the Director of Business  and Channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development and Lead generation through different  marketing   channels .
  • Offer  clients   superior   Customer   experience   by   providing   solutions   to   meet   their   needs .
  • Manage  client   relationships   and   partnerships   to   create   lasting  business   relationships .
  • Lead  people   by   coaching   and   mentoring   the   team.
  • Manage  general   branch   operations.

Minimum job requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with at least two (2) years in a leadership role.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing/ sales and negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent negotiation and selling skills.
  • Self-motivated and results driven attitude.
  • Experience in leading a team.

Direct Sales Representatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Selling and promoting AA Tours & Travel products to the assigned markets.
  • Contacting leads and setting up appointments to present products and services.
  • Building relationships with existing referral sources and  cultivate new referral sources.
  • Deriving insights to competitor sales activities and  effectively improve their efforts.

Minimum job requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Sales and Marketing, or any other  related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing in a  Tours and Travel company is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent selling and negotiation skills
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.

Travel Co​​​​nsultant

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel Advisory.
  • Air Ticketing.
  • Visa Advisory.
  • Local and International Hotel Booking.
  • Tours and Safari Planning.

Minimum job requirements

  • Diploma in Tourism Management, Tours and Travel or  Equivalent.
  • IATA or GDS training Certificate.
  • Expertise with the Galileo/Amadeus GDS platform and  web fares.
  • MUST have at least 2-3 years’ experience as a  Ticketing /Travel Consultant in a busy travel  agency or  airline.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suites.
  • Must have Excellent customer service skills & be  customer driven.
  • Should be Self-motivated, Confident, and have an  outgoing personality.

Business  Development & Operations Manager

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute short and long term strategies to grow the business revenue.

  • Operational Excellence: Manage operations of the  business. Streamline and oversee daily operations,  ensuring efficiency and high customer service standards
  • Brand Building & Marketing: Drive brand visibility and customer acquisition through creative marketing  strategies. Ensure consistent brand messaging and  superior customer engagement.
  • Team Leadership & Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of professionals, ensuring all departments are aligned with the company’s goals. Lead people by coaching and mentoring the team.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resources to maximize profitability for the  business

Minimum job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Tours and travel, sales and  marketing or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior role in  charge of business development,
  • Operations, corporate sales & relations management, public relations, or a similar role in a tours and travel  company.
  • Proven track record of growing business revenue and  managing operations successfully.
  • Understanding of tours and travel industry operations.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
