JOB PURPOSE

The job holder will be responsible for overseeing healthcare projects from start to finish, monitoring and reporting on the progress throughout the process. He/She will also supervise and direct all team members involved on various programs through training and providing technical support and mentorship in accordance with the Savannah Hospital Guidelines and any other regulations as may be required.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for delivering high quality, easy to engage administrative processes, compliance, systems, policies, procedures and legal contracts
  • Quality assurance for key people processes to ensure compliance and understanding across all areas, e.g., policies, process, and other legal requirements
  • Act as a change agent; lead, support and contribute to change programs, driving and championing the implementation of people solutions within the supported business area, gaining acceptance from key stakeholders

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The job holder will be responsible for ensuring efficient and orderly admission of inpatients, registration of outpatients, ensures that accurate patient information is collected and verifying insurance benefits and eligibility also ensure that all incoming telephone calls are promptly and courteously answered and routed to the correct extensions within the Hospital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Register patients accurately and in a timely manner making sure all information is correct, insurance is verified at the time of registration and all applicable signatures are obtained.
  • Collect applicable co-pays/co-insurance/deductibles, post payments, give receipts among others correlated functions
  • Co-ordinate completion of prior authorization, if needed from insurance through verifying patients’ insurance eligibility
  • Work with insurance plans to pre-authorize and re-authorization of patient services;
  • Maintain contact management regarding status of authorization and any additional documentation or information needed;

To provide efficient and effective cleaning support to the Hospital, including ensuring that the ambiance and general appearance of the building and surroundings are maintained in accordance with the required standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
  • Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops
  • Mopping floors with wet or damp mops
  • Dusting, damp wiping, washing or polishing the furniture, ledges, window sills and external surfaces of shelves and fitments
  • Replenishing consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels) in the various points of usage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure all processed drug orders are counter signed at all times
  • Ensure that the Pharmacy is well stocked as per the set re-order levels. Do daily counts, spot counts, monthly stock takes and give a timely, accurate report with valid explanation on variances and expiries to the Chief Executive Officer
  • Notify the doctors and nurses and other clinical team on out of stock drugs
  • Prevention of medication errors by counter checking and verifying the prescription/ treatment sheets on doses, allergies, patient identification, right drug, eligibility and give clear usage instructions.

  • Check expiries of the allocated shelf and emergency trolley monthly (ensure short expiry items are replaced) and inform the concerned parties
