Part-time Swimming Coach at Braeburn Schools

Teaching Vacancies at Braeburn Schools

The Part-time Swimming Coach at Braeburn Schools will be responsible for providing quality swimming instruction to a diverse group of students, ensuring their safety and enjoyment in the aquatic environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive swimming lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
  • Provide individual and group swimming instruction, focusing on technique, stroke development, and water safety.
  • Monitor and ensure the safety of swimmers during all activities.
  • Assist with the organization and management of swimming programs and events.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members.
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all participants.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a swimming coach or instructor.
  • Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swimming techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with children and adults of all ages.
  • Current certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred).
  • Passion for swimming and a commitment to providing a positive learning experience.

Teaching Assistants

Teaching Vacancies at Braeburn Schools

Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher and other line managers.
  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
  • Help pupils learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and on his/her own
  • Help to create learning resources as directed by the teacher.
  • Maintain classroom resources to promote a tidy and efficient learning environment.
  • Provide appropriate pastoral care to enable children to feel secure and happy.
  • Support the use of ICT in learning activities and develop pupils’ competence and independence.
  • At times, assist children to get changed for PE or for swimming lessons, where necessary.
  • Attend year group or key stage meetings and reviews.
  • Help with school events, productions, school trips and other activities.

Administrative Duties

  • Prepare and present high quality displays of pupils’ work as directed by the class teachers.
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining pupil records / reading records.
  • Support class teachers with photocopying and other tasks in order to support teaching.
  • Successful applicants should have a teaching qualification and TSC number.
