We are a Christian school in the education sector looking for an additional Kitchen Assistant. Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen under the supervision of the Cateress, help in the organization with a view to optimal resource utilization, hygiene, safety, and general operation.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in ingredients preparations this includes (chopping, peeling, sorting, cutting, etc.)
2. Prepare and serve meals for learners, staff and during events.
3. Ensure timely serving of all meals throughout the day.
4. Ensure there is a constant supply of clean and fresh water for cleaning and cooking.
5. Participate in food preparation and follow cooks’ instructions on general kitchen operation.
6. Ensure a great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
7. Follow cooks’ instructions on menus accordingly to ensure proper nutrition and healthy eating.

Requirements

1. Diploma/Certificate in Food production or catering.
2. 3 years’ relevant experience.
3. Valid certificate of good conduct.
4. Valid food handler’s certificate.

Finance Officer

We are a Christian school in the education sector seeking a qualified Finance Officer to provide strategic oversight of the school’s financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, risk management and resource optimization, while ensuring financial sustainability and accountability aligned with the school’s mission and growth objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Budget Preparation and Consolidation – Prepare and consolidate departmental budgets into the master budget. Ensure budget estimates align with organizational goals.
2. Budget Monitoring and Variance Analysis – Monitor budget performance and identify variances. Recommend corrective actions where necessary.
3. Financial Reporting – Prepare timely and accurate financial reports. Support management decision-making through financial analysis.
4. Cost and Expense Management – Track departmental expenses and analyze spending trends. Recommend cost control measures to improve efficiency.
5. Budget Implementation and Control – Support implementation of approved budgets across departments. Ensure compliance with financial policies and spending limits.
6. Cash Flow Forecasting and Management – Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor financial obligations. Ensure adequate funds are available for operations.
7. Procurement and Costing Support – Collaborate with procurement teams on pricing and costing. Ensure accurate cost estimates for budgeting purposes.
8. Internal Controls and Fraud Prevention – Implement internal controls to safeguard company resources. Support compliance and fraud prevention initiatives.
9. Financial Performance Analysis – Analyze financial performance and key financial ratios. Support strategic planning through financial insights.

Requirements

1.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce or Accounting.
2. CPA-K/ ACCA or equivalent certification.
3. 5 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
4. Strong command of QuickBooks, Sage or similar systems.
5. Valid certificate of good conduct.
