Pearl Hospital is offering an exciting opportunity for a Pharmaceutical Technologist Intern. If you’re a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare setting, we’d love to hear from you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in dispensing prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs under supervision
- Participate in drug compounding and reconstitution as guided by licensed staff
- Help in stocking, labeling, and organizing medications and medical supplies
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances
- Assist in inventory management, including stock taking, ordering, and checking expiry dates
- Support pharmacovigilance by reporting any adverse drug reactions or incidents
- Uphold patient confidentiality and handle all information with professionalism
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, or in-house seminars as scheduled
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
- Must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Examine, diagnose, and treat common illnesses and injuries in accordance with established clinical protocols
- Conduct medical consultations and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Perform minor surgical procedures and emergency care as needed
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, modifying treatment as required
- Refer patients to specialists or higher-level facilities when necessary
- Offer health education and counseling to patients on disease prevention and health promotion
- Participate in outreach programs, immunization drives, and health campaigns
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols
- Contribute to data collection and reporting for internal and external health monitoring
- Uphold ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and professional conduct at all times
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or its equivalent
- Valid Professional Practice License from the Clinical Officers’ Council
