Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • A graduate of or expecting to graduate in 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in commerce/economics/finance or related field from a reputable university.
  • Up to 1 year of professional experience in audit or accounting environment is an added advantage
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA etc).

We are thrilled to offer a stimulating opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Tax & Legal Team as a Manager. This role will be based at our Nairobi office in Kenya.

Role Overview

The holder of this position will support the department in growing their business and managing the on-going assignments to a logical conclusion; provide outstanding value to clients and the Firm; develop high-performing people and teams, leading big teams and supporting them to impact the world wholistically; and setting the direction in line with the Firm’s strategy to deliver exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a wide variety of tax advisory assignments efficiently and comprehensively
  • Oversee effective management of tax compliance engagements in a timely manner;
  • Manage global tax compliance assignments;
  • Manage tax risks and opportunities review assignments;
  • Manage tax dispute resolution assignments;
  • Oversee investment allowance review projects;
  • Manage client communications;
  • Manage the allocated client portfolio;
  • Ensure preparation of proposals and engagement letters while ensuring that client take-on procedures are completed in a timely manner;
  • Lead business development activities aimed at growing the business tax portfolio and revenues;
  • Manage different teams to ensure client deliverables and deadlines are met;
  • Manage working capital and debtors for assigned client portfolio; and
  • Train and coach (classroom and on-job) other staff in the department.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce, Economics or Law.
  • 3 – 5 years’ professional tax experience with at least 1 year’s experience working at a consultant level.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA).
