Job Description
Technical Competencies
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Familiarity with tax laws and regulations, including Income Tax, VAT, Excise Duty, and relevant Finance Acts.
- Ability to research tax issues and interpret legislation, rulings, and guidelines.
- Working knowledge of tax compliance processes such as return filing, tax reconciliation, and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with tax or ERP systems is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of eTIMS, iTax, and KRA compliance requirements.
Analytical & Professional Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with numerical data, prepare schedules, and support tax computations.
- Good communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Experience (Optional / as needed)
- Internship or prior exposure in tax, audit, or accounting is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Kenya’s tax regime or exposure to KRA systems is desirable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field
- CPA Intermediate
- ADIT / Diploma/Certificate in tax is an added advantage
