Pearl Hospital is offering an exciting opportunity for a Pharmaceutical Technologist Intern. If you’re a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare setting, we’d love to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in dispensing prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs under supervision
  • Participate in drug compounding and reconstitution as guided by licensed staff
  • Help in stocking, labeling, and organizing medications and medical supplies
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock taking, ordering, and checking expiry dates
  • Support pharmacovigilance by reporting any adverse drug reactions or incidents
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and handle all information with professionalism
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, or in-house seminars as scheduled
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
  • Must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat common illnesses and injuries in accordance with established clinical protocols
  • Conduct medical consultations and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Perform minor surgical procedures and emergency care as needed
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, modifying treatment as required
  • Refer patients to specialists or higher-level facilities when necessary
  • Offer health education and counseling to patients on disease prevention and health promotion
  • Participate in outreach programs, immunization drives, and health campaigns
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols
  • Contribute to data collection and reporting for internal and external health monitoring
  • Uphold ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and professional conduct at all times

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or its equivalent
  • Valid Professional Practice License from the Clinical Officers’ Council
